Congrats on getting accepted as an international student in the US. One of the best financial advices that you will get if you want to survive as a non-immigrant is to build a good credit score. It will enable you to access different loan products from banks and lenders. At some point during your stay in the US, loans will come in handy. To build your credit score, you must do the following:

    1. Ask to be an authorized user of someone's credit. This is far easier method to start building credit in the US. If you have family members or relatives in the US, you can be an authorized user of their credit cards and you will be able to build credit.

    2. Apply for a Discover IT credit card. It is the easiest to apply for even for non-working individuals like international students. Once you get the card, utilize it at less than 20% per month and it will help you build a good credit score.

    3. Get a personal loan. A combination of credit card usage and personal loan will boost your credit score. You can approach private lenders, like STILT, who give out loans to non-immigrants with limited or zero credit. The company offers loan with no collateral, no co-signer needed, and with fast approval time.
