What are the personal loan requirements for a non-US citizen?
-
Personal loan requirements vary from lenders to banks. It also depends on the individual applicants and their visa types. In general, here are the required documents when applying for a personal loan in the US:
1. Proof of Identity - Passport copy, Visa copy, driver license (if any), Resume
2. Proof of Income - Bank statement, pay stubs, employment letter, EAD Card, offer letter
3. Proof of Address - Bill statements, rental agreement, IDs with address
If you are a self-employed individual, you may need to present your business registration, business bank account, and business address. Some private lenders like STILT do not require cosigner, collateral, or SSN, but others may do. Most lenders do not require good credit score as well, although the risk maybe translated into a high credit score.
